RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's banking client in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to join their Open Banking team. This role involves supporting the development and testing of API-based financial services, with a strong focus on requirement gathering, stakeholder collaboration, and integration testing support.

Responsibilities:

• Junior Business Analyst will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and document requirements
• Write basic business cases and ensure clarity between business needs and technical execution
• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and integration testing efforts
• Write and maintain test cases related to API functionality
• Work closely with QA and development teams to validate requirements and resolve issues
• Use Jira to manage user stories, bugs, and testing tasks
• As a Junior Business Analyst, you will use tools such as Postman to validate API endpoints during testing
• Ensure traceability from business requirements through to test validation
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role
• Strong requirement gathering and documentation skills
• Understanding of API functionality and how APIs are tested
• Familiarity with UAT, test planning, and working alongside testing teams
• Comfortable working in Agile environments
• Proficient with Jira for task and requirement tracking
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to Open Banking or financial API integrations
• Experience using Postman or similar tools for API testing
• Previous experience in a banking or fintech environment
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
