Job summary

Frontrunner Bus Group in Billerica, MA is hiring a Junior Bus Assembly Technician to join a hands-on production floor. You will assist in installing mechanical and electrical components on buses, using basic hand and power tools, and following detailed work instructions to ensure quality installations.

You will learn under experienced technicians, support production and service tasks, and help keep the area safe and organized while staying flexible for occasional extended shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in working with tools.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems preferred.
• Ability to lift or move components up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and prioritize safety and detail.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior techs to install mechanical and electrical components on buses.
• Use basic hand and power tools with care and accuracy.
• Follow work instructions, diagrams, and safety procedures to complete quality installations.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks to support production and service operations.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs under guidance of experienced teammates.
• Keep station clean, organized, and safe.
• Communicate progress, issues, and material needs to supervisors.
• Stay flexible and help with extended shifts when needed.
• Cross-train in other production stations to broaden skills.
