Job summary

Frontrunner Bus Group, Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Automotive Body and Paint Technician to perform body repairs and high-quality paint applications on buses. You will prepare surfaces, match colors, and ensure finishes meet company standards.

A high school diploma and 3+ years' experience are required; knowledge of spray equipment and safety procedures is essential. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule 6:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an automotive body and/or paint technician.
• Knowledge of automotive body repair, paint systems, and finishing processes.
• Ability to safely operate body shop and paint equipment and spray systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, sanding, grinding, and alignment
• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, masking, sanding, and priming
• Apply paint, clear coat, and finishes using spray equipment in accordance with standards
• Match and mix paint colors to meet specifications and ensure high-quality finishes
• Inspect completed body and paint work for quality and durability
• Identify and correct paint defects such as runs and fisheyes
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and handle hazardous materials properly
• Follow safety procedures, PPE, and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with assembly and inspection teams to meet production schedules
