Pennoni is hiring a Graduate Bridge Engineer for our Transportation Design Hub in Newark, DE. Join a collaborative team on a full-time, direct basis to work on bridge design, inspection, load rating, and SHM system projects for PennDOT, DelDOT, and other agencies.

The role emphasizes learning structural concepts, applying design standards, and contributing to maintenance and rehabilitation plans. Strong communication and independent work within a design group are valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
0–3 years related experience.
Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
Bridge design and/or inspection experience; experience with structural design calculations.
Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus.

Responsabilités

Assist with bridge design and bridge inspection.
Perform load rating tasks for transportation improvement projects and NBIS inspections.
Learn and apply AASHTO design standards and plan production.
Work with a team to design and install SHM systems.
Conduct structural load testing and load rating.
Evaluate structural performance and inspections to guide maintenance and rehabilitation actions.
