Job summary

Pennoni Associates is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer III to lead bridge design, inspections, and load rating tasks on transportation improvement projects across the Mid-Atlantic. The role includes managing teams, coordinating with clients, and leveraging BrIM platforms to deliver 3-D models.

Candidates should hold a PE license with 12+ years of experience, strong communication, and proficiency in MicroStation/AutoCAD; preferred skills include CSI/STAAD/LUSAS and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• PE license is required.
• 12+ years of bridge engineering experience.
• 4-7 years of management experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with plan production and assembly.
• Experience with Bridge Information Modeling (BrIM) including OpenBridge.
• Demonstrated experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Bluebeam PDF editor is desirable.
• MS Civil / Structural Engineering degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager and/or Lead Engineer for bridge design, inspection and load rating tasks.
• Lead NBIS bridge safety inspections and transportation improvement projects.
• Work on bridge replacement/rehabilitation projects for multiple clients.
• Utilize 3-D BIM bridge modeling platforms to support design and analysis.
• Coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time.

Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer III to perform the following, but not limited to: Project Manager and/or Lead Engineer for bridge design, bridge inspection and load rating tasks associated with transportation improvement projects Bridge replacement/rehabilitation projects, NBIS bridge safety inspections, locally administered transportation projects, Highway bridges projects for a variety of clients - including PennDOT, SEPTA, DRPA, DRJTBC, BCBC, MDOT SHA, MDTA and DCDOT, local municipalities and agencies in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Opportunity to work with challenging bridge projects using 3-D BIM (bridge information modeling) platforms.

Required Attributes

• PE License.
• Years of experience: 12 or more.
• Management experience: 4-7.
• Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
• Having the ability to work in a Team Environment is key.
• Experience with plan production and assembly.
• Demonstrated experience in Bridge Information Modeling (BrIM) including OpenBridge.
• Demonstrated experience in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience.
• Bluebeam PDF editor is desired.

Preferred Attributes

• MS Civil / Structural Engineering.
• Experience in finite element analysis using CSI Bridge, LUSAS, STAAD, SAP2000 or others modeling software.
• Experience in project management software such as Primavera P6.
