Job summary

SJS Accounting LLC is seeking a Beginner Bookkeeper / Bookkeeper I to join our Gilbert, AZ team. This is a full-time, in-office position at our Gilbert location.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, follows policies and procedures consistently, takes pride in accuracy, and is looking to build a long-term career with our firm. We are looking for someone who can independently identify issues, use available resources to find solutions, and contribute positively to our team and client

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of bookkeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Experience with inventory accounting and invoicing.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and adhere to firm procedures.
• Accurately categorize transactions and reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Maintain and manage client loan balances in accounting systems.
• Train and support team members on bookkeeping practices.
• Ensure timely and accurate client deliverables and communicate professionally.
• Follow office workflows to ensure timely deliverables.
