Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Access.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL including querying, joins, indexing basics, and relational schemas.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark, preferably PySpark.
• Foundational programming in Python or R for analysis and ML workflows.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data modeling basics, data quality checks, reproducible pipelines, and version control.
• Experience building visual analytics with Power BI including reports, datasets/semantic models, and DAX fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate for workflow integration.
• Basic familiarity with NLP and Large Language Models and typical use cases.
• Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and translate mission needs into data requirements and outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy methods to analyze operational data and derive actionable insights.
• Serve as point of contact for data usage across projects and guide performance improvements.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights around operations and project data.
• Develop and implement new metrics and scripts as KPIs as needed.
• Code to segment populations from large datasets, verify data accuracy, and output files per specs.
• Create and maintain documentation and artifacts for projects.
• Ad hoc tool development to support analytical areas.
• Learn emerging technologies and systems for company initiatives.
• Support team communication and strategy implementation; participate in meetings.
• Manage project activities and data integration from multiple sources.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks; leverage Spark/PySpark.
• Develop curated, analysis-ready datasets with data quality and lineage.
• Optimize data processing performance and orchestrate recurring workloads.
• Apply statistics and ML to generate forecasts and ready analytics for missions and readiness.
• Create dashboards and analytical products using Power BI with semantic models.
• Integrate data products into Power Apps and automations; support low-code solutions.
• Prepare and analyze unstructured data for text and language use cases.
• Demonstrate familiarity with LLMs and assist seniors in implementing capabilities.
• Document data sources, transformations, and methodologies for transparency.
