Virtue America is seeking an entry-level Bioprocess Engineer to assist in development, optimization, and documentation of bioprocesses for biotherapeutics in a regulated environment.

You will contribute to upstream and downstream processing, monitoring, and data-driven process improvements while ensuring compliance with GMP and quality systems. This role offers hands-on experience in cell culture, fermentation, and purification workflows.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, or related field.
• Basic understanding of upstream and downstream bioprocessing principles.
• Familiarity with cell culture, fermentation, bioreactors, and biological product manufacturing concepts.
• Fundamental knowledge of filtration, chromatography, purification, and separation techniques.
• Understanding of process parameters, experimental design, data interpretation, and process optimization.
• Basic knowledge of GMP, SOPs, laboratory safety, and data integrity practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate experimental records and follow established procedures.
• Willingness to learn biopharmaceutical manufacturing technologies and regulated industry practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Bioprocess Development: Assist in developing and evaluating biological processes used in production of biopharmaceutical products.
• Upstream Processing: Support cell culture, fermentation, media preparation, inoculum development, and bioreactor operations.
• Downstream Processing: Assist with purification processes, including filtration, centrifugation, chromatography, and product recovery.
• Bioreactor Monitoring: Help monitor temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, agitation, pressure, and nutrients.
• Process Optimization: Analyze data to identify variations and opportunities to improve yield and efficiency.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare batch records, process flow diagrams, notebooks, reports, and procedures.
• GMP Compliance: Support GMP requirements, lab safety, data integrity, and SOP implementation.
• Process Troubleshooting: Identify deviations and investigate unexpected results.
• Quality and Data Analysis: Collect, organize, and interpret data to support process evaluation and product quality.
• Equipment and Process Support: Document bioreactors, pumps, filtration systems, and other equipment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with QA, QC, Manufacturing, Process Development, and Validation teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives and technical reviews.
