Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) is seeking a Junior BIM Operator in San Jose, CA. The role focuses on developing 3D models and 2D drawings for electrical construction projects, using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam Revu. Training is provided as you collaborate with BIM Operators, Coordinators and Managers.

The position reports to the BIM Manager and emphasizes learning, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment with a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Entry level BIM role with on-the-job training.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Develops 3D models from redlines and construction documents.
• Creates and maintains 2D installation drawings from 3D models.
• Performs model population including conduits, trays, equipment, fixtures and supports.
• Manages documentation through printing, review and publishing processes.
• Maintains project setup and folder structures per CEI standards.
• Executes quality control on models and drawings.
• Uses BIM 360 interface for file management and issue tracking.
• Performs clash detection and coordination reviews.
• Communicates with the team regarding deliverables and requirements.
