Job summary

The Phoenix Group® is seeking a Junior BI & Analytics Engineer to join its data and analytics team in New York, onsite. You’ll help build BI dashboards and analytics solutions for investment, portfolio, finance, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in private equity or asset management, with hands-on experience in Power BI, Sigma Computing, SQL, and dbt, and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional experience in BI, analytics engineering, or a related role.
• Experience in private equity, asset management, or investment environments is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI and Sigma Computing, SQL, and dbt.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance BI dashboards and analytics using Power BI and Sigma Computing.
• Develop and maintain dbt models to transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for transformation, reporting, and analysis.
• Collaborate with investment, portfolio management, finance, and operations teams to gather requirements.
• Translate business questions into dashboards, KPIs, and scalable data models.
• Work with data from multiple sources to support investment reporting.
• Perform data validation, testing, and quality checks for reporting accuracy.
