Job summary

Refocus LLC in the United States is seeking an Entry-Level AWS Cloud Engineer to join our client's Cloud Operations & Infrastructure team. The role focuses on provisioning, managing, and maintaining secure AWS resources supporting mission-critical financial applications.

You will work under senior engineering mentorship to ensure high availability, security, and cost management in an enterprise cloud environment. Remote/onsite flexibility is available per client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or equivalent experience.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate preferred.
• Solid grasp of core AWS services, cloud networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN), and Linux OS administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in provisioning, configuring, and monitoring core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch).
• Support user access management and maintain least-privilege IAM policies aligned with financial regulatory standards.
• Help deploy infrastructure using templates (AWS CloudFormation or Terraform).
• Monitor cloud health, performance metrics, and cost optimization initiatives using native AWS tools.
• Assist with cloud network configurations, including subnets, security groups, and routing tables.
• Participate in routine system patching, backup/disaster recovery drills, and security audit readiness.
