Job summary

Lamb's Tire & Automotive in Austin, TX is hiring a Junior Automotive Technician to perform basic diagnostics and maintenance, including oil changes, tire work, and light repairs. The role supports inspections where applicable and requires basic safety practices and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State Inspector License (in applicable locations) is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Utilizes the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to properly document the vehicle condition.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (in applicable locations) on vehicles in an ethical manner following all guidelines.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Works flexible schedules, including weekends as needed; other duties as assigned.
• Adheres to company core values and policies.
