Job summary

Lamb's Tire & Automotive in Austin, TX is seeking a Junior Automotive Technician to perform basic diagnostics, oil changes, tire services, and light vehicle maintenance. Starting pay ranges from $15.00 to $28.00 per hour, plus flag hours on production.

Responsibilities include documenting vehicle condition, basic repairs, and following safety procedures. Applicants should have 2 years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a State Inspector License where

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State Inspector License (in applicable locations) preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balancing and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using the company’s inspection process.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (where applicable).
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Works flexible schedules, including weekends as needed.
• Adheres to company policies and values.
