Job summary

FPC (FORTUNE PERSONNEL CONSULTANTS - Orlando Office) is seeking a junior Quality Engineer for an automotive manufacturer in Central Indiana. You will sit with a Senior Quality Engineer and the Quality Manager to learn the job in the plant, working on APQP for new programs and supporting quality data review.

This entry-level role requires recent engineering graduates or QE with up to 5 years' experience, and is onsite with no sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Recent ME / MET / IE / IET grad with a real plant internship or co-op.
• 1–5 years as Quality Engineer, Junior QE, Manufacturing QE, Customer QE, or Launch QE.
• Automotive plant time is a plus.
• APQP, PPAP, quality paperwork, or basic quality stats is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work APQP on new programs
• Review first-article parts and quality data off new assembly lines with Manufacturing Engineering
• Learn and use 8D and 5-Why when something goes wrong
• Help put quality data together for customers
• Work inside IATF 16949 — docs, audits, and day-to-day plant quality
• Help fix quality issues on current production
