Job summary

P3 Group in Greenville, SC seeks a consultant to support challenging operations projects in the automotive sector, driving efficiency, cost reduction, and digital transformation on-site with client teams.

You will analyze processes, develop SOPs, manage data analytics, and introduce AI/digital tools. Strong communication, travel up to 100%, and collaboration with engineering, production, procurement, and sales are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Hands-on internships or entry-level consulting experience in automotive/manufacturing.
• Experience with data analysis, KPI tracking, and reporting.
• Experience with implementing on-site activities (SOPs, process changes, tech rollouts).
• Proficient in MS Office; familiar with digital tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% (Mon–Fri).

Responsibilities

• Analyze, document, and optimize business processes in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, IT projects, and automation.
• Conduct on-site assessments to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to reduce costs and boost productivity.
• Support quality management systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist in supplier development and risk management, including coaching suppliers and multi-tier sourcing visibility.
• Enhance supply chain management across procurement, inventory, sourcing, and logistics.
• Develop, update, and document SOPs, process maps, and policy manuals.
• Perform cost analyses, create and manage budgets, and recommend cost containment solutions.
• Create and oversee implementation of action plans with progress reports to clients.
• Introduce and support new technologies, including automation, digital tools, and AI implementation.
• Conduct training or workshops to enable process and cultural change.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to optimize value chain performance.
• Provide data-driven insights using KPIs, benchmarking, and analytics.
• Support sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership to align on operational goals and sustain results.
• Manage customer and supplier relationships to maintain alignment on quality and delivery.
