Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 0–5 years of experience supporting capital projects, project controls, or asset management.
• Highly detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple work orders simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end close-out activities for capital project work orders.
• Review work order packages for completeness and compliance with project engineering, construction, and financial requirements.
• Validate and upload close-out documentation, including as-built drawings, test records, commissioning documentation, vendor manuals, permits, and compliance certificates.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain to gather missing documentation and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure all project costs, accruals, and purchase orders are properly reconciled and finalized prior to close-out.
• Support asset capitalization by verifying asset data, equipment records, and commissioning details required for handover to Operations & Maintenance.
• Update status in project management and work management systems, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of close-out progress.
• Maintain standardized documentation templates in accordance with the client’s PLP.
• Contribute to process improvement activities to streamline and optimize close-out workflows.
• Provide regular reporting on close-out metrics, backlog status, and cycle-time performance.

The ideal candidate thrives in a structured environment, excels at coordinating with cross-functional teams, and has a strong understanding of project lifecycle documentation, asset management, and work management systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Oracle, etc.). The candidates MUST reside in either of CA, GA, CO, MN, VA, or WI.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work orders simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and document management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in utility, energy, construction, industrial, or infrastructure project environments.
• Familiarity with capital project financial structures, accruals, and asset capitalization processes.
• Experience with enterprise work management or asset management systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Ariba, Oracle).
• Understanding of change management, procurement processes, and field work execution workflows.
