Job summary

Larson Design Group is seeking an entry-level Architectural Technician to assist in designing and compiling drawings and permit packages for building projects. You will translate concepts into buildable drawings, coordinating with architects and engineers.

The role emphasizes learning, documentation, and adherence to codes and client requirements, with a flexible, employee-owned environment and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Degree in Computer Based Drafting or similar technical degree.
• Experience: No previous relevant work experience is required. Prior internships in the A/E industry are preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: n/a

Responsibilities

• Prepares simple to intermediate drawings, drawing sets, and other tasks as assigned using designated software.
• Self-checks all work before review.
• Makes corrections to red lines provided by reviewer.
• Performs tasks within designated work-hour budget.
• Maintains documentation and project records.
• Collaborates with architects and engineers to refine design concepts and solve technical challenges.
• Understands and manipulates client specific prototypes for assigned projects.
