Job summary

Dexterous Creative Contractors & Design, Inc. seeks a motivated Junior Architect / Project Engineer to support both architectural and construction teams, handling drawings, permit coordination, RFIs, submittals, and field coordination.

The role blends office and site work, with growth into a well-rounded design-build professional. Candidates should have 1–4 years of relevant experience and be proficient in AutoCAD / Revit, and familiar with SketchUp and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 1–4 years of relevant architectural, construction, or design-build experience preferred.
• Experience producing architectural drawings and construction documents.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit, and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, or rendering software beneficial.
• Basic understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and consultant drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, details, and presentation materials.
• Support schematic design, design development, and construction document phases.
• Coordinate drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other consultants.
• Prepare and update 3D models, renderings, and finish schedules.
• Assist with permit coordination, RFIs, submittals, and meeting documentation.
• Support field coordination and site visits for progress verification.
• Maintain organized project records and design documentation.
• Participate in client, consultant, and internal design meetings.
