Job summary

HDR is seeking an Air Quality Permitting and Compliance Intern in Minnesota to gain real-world experience on exciting projects within our employee-owned culture. You will contribute to air permitting and compliance efforts while learning in a collaborative environment.

You will explore air dispersion impacts on ambient air and assist in drafting notifications and compliance documents for industrial clients.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate environmental science, biology, environmental engineering or related program.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Attitude and commitment to be an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
• Familiarity with EPA’s Clean Air Act (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Offer real-world experience on exciting projects
• Explore industrial sources’ air dispersion impacts to the ambient air to support air permitting or compliance projects
• Assist in drafting air permitting notifications, application forms, and compliance documents for industrial clients
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
• Perform other duties as needed
