Job summary

Ramboll seeks an Entry Level Air Quality Consultant (Intern) to join the Environment & Health division in Los Angeles, Irvine, CA or Phoenix, AZ for Spring/Summer 2027. You will work within the Air & Climate Service Line, supporting emissions calculations, regulatory reviews, and permit applications.

The role emphasizes teamwork, analytical skills, and hands-on experience in air quality topics such as emissions estimation, modeling, and compliance.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, or a science degree with air quality coursework and a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Strong computing skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing.
• Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving and organization skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret environmental regulations.
• Database and GIS skills are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing emissions calculations
• Conducting air quality reviews of emissions reduction or control
• Assisting in preparing major and minor source permit applications and environmental impact reports
• Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations
