Job summary

Seneca Resources invites early-career technical professionals to apply AI, ML, Python, and automation to real-world cybersecurity challenges in New York. You will work with senior engineers and an Enterprise Architect to develop, test, optimize, and support AI-powered security tools and gain exposure to enterprise security technologies.

You will help analyze security logs and telemetry, prepare labeled datasets, and automate security workflows while learning modern engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, IT, or related field or practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python and scripting for automation.
• Foundational understanding of software development, data processing, or technical problem-solving.
• Strong interest in AI, ML, cybersecurity, and security automation.
• Ability to analyze complex information, troubleshoot, and learn new technologies.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and analytical thinking.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn from senior professionals and contribute to enterprise initiatives.

Responsibilities

• AI/ML Development & Security Analytics: develop, test, tune, and monitor AI/ML models for threat detection and anomaly identification.
• Analyze security logs, alerts, and telemetry to identify suspicious activity and potential threats.
• Prepare, clean, label, and organize security datasets for model training and evaluation.
• Support model performance monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement.
• Python Development & Security Automation: develop and maintain Python scripts to automate security tasks and workflows.
• Assist in integrating AI/ML capabilities into existing cybersecurity tools and security operations pipelines.
• Support automation initiatives that improve security monitoring and threat analysis.
• Troubleshoot scripts, data-processing workflows, and integrations with guidance from senior engineers.
