Job summary

CarParts.com is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, train, and deploy models powering search, recommendations, and content generation. You will build agentic AI pipelines that orchestrate LLMs, tools, and retrieval, and own data prep from SQL and Python to production deployment.

You will work with engineering, product, and marketing to integrate AI services, monitor model quality, and stay current with advances in AI/ML, including LLMs and agents. This role is based in Long Beach, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's in a quantitative field with applicable ML experience
• Strong foundations in supervised/unsupervised learning and evaluation
• Experience with PyTorch and related ML tooling
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for large datasets

Responsibilities

• Design, train, evaluate, and deploy ML models powering search and recommendations
• Build agentic AI pipelines that orchestrate LLMs and retrieval
• Write SQL/Python to create training data and features at scale
• Own model lifecycle from versioning to CI/CD deployment
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing to productionize models
• Evaluate models with offline metrics and online experiments; iterate
