Radiance Technologies in Dayton, OH is seeking an aerospace engineer to join the Modeling, Simulation & Analysis team. You will contribute to AF SIM M&S efforts, integrating aerodynamic, guidance and controls, flight mechanics, and propulsion models.

The role involves collaborating with government stakeholders and Radiance teammates on missions for AFRL, NASIC, and IC, requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and initiative in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Minimum of 2 years of aerospace engineering experience.
• Experience in Aerodynamics, Guidance and Controls, Flight Mechanics, Propulsion, Hypersonics, or Orbital Mechanics.

We are searching for a talented aerospace engineer to join our Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis (MS&A) team in support of various missions in Dayton, OH. The candidate will be expected to enhance aerospace-related efforts that are centered around the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) Modeling & Simulation (M&S) framework. These efforts focus on the simulation of aircraft, missiles, and space vehicles integrating models for aerodynamics, guidance and controls, flight mechanics, orbital mechanics, propulsion, and sensors. The candidate will work closely with both Government stakeholders and Radiance teammates across the country supporting Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), and Intelligence Community (IC) missions. We are focused on finding innovative self-starters who can adapt to fast-paced, high-profile efforts.

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Physics, or related fields

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of aerospace engineering experience
• Experience in one or more of following areas: Aerodynamics, Guidance and Controls, Flight Mechanics, Propulsion, Hypersonics, Orbital Mechanics

Desired Qualifications/Experience

• Experience programming in C++ or other object-oriented languages
• Experience in Python or MATLAB
• Experience modeling and simulating in the aerospace domain
• Experience in mathematical problem solving
• Experience working with MS&A tools such as AFSIM, Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), and Integrated Threat Analysis and Simulation Environment (ITASE)
• Experience working with Design of Experiment (DOE) software such as Dakota, PIANO, and Harness for Adaptive Learning (HAL)
• Experience using analytical techniques such as uncertainty quantification, sensitivity analysis, and meta-model development
• Experience working with statistical software such as JMP
• Experience using modern agile and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices
• Experience in technical writing and documentation
• Familiarity with DoW security practices
