University of North Carolina School of the Arts is seeking an Accountant I to manage student and non-student accounts receivable and to perform core accounting duties with Banner Finance and NCFS reconciliation. The role reports to the Student Accounts Manager within the Controller's Office and follows a standard Monday–Friday schedule.

The position emphasizes timely reconciliations, accurate reporting, and collaboration with management to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Qualificações

• Entry-level position requiring a Master's degree; Bachelor's degree with 0–2 years of experience may also qualify.
• Preferred: Master's in accounting or related discipline with 12 accounting credit hours; or equivalent.
• Experience with Ellucian Banner and TouchNet preferred.
• Preferably at least 3 years of accounting experience.

Responsabilidades

• Accounting Functions: reconcile receipts, daily accuracy checks, balance cash and transfers, reconcile Banner Finance to Student, prepare analyses.
• Student Accounts: bill tuition and fees, administer payment plans, refund credits, collections, billing of scholarships, post charges, customer service.
• Non-Student Accounts Receivable: bill, collect and deposit for campus operations including equipment and scenery rentals and film rentals.
• General Accounting Functions: other duties as assigned by Controller/Director of Student Accounts.
