Wettermark Keith in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Junior Accountant to manage and process settlement transactions for the firm. This full-time, in-person role requires accuracy and strong collaboration with other departments.

You will review settlement statements, maintain records, reconcile discrepancies, and assist in month-end closing while contributing to trust and settlement reporting. The position offers an hourly salary with a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits, plus paid time

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in accounting or finance.
• Experience in accounts payable or a similar role, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Process client settlement and ensure timely payments.
• Review and verify settlement statements for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of transactions.
• Reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end closing activities.
• Prepare and maintain reports on trust and settlement activities.
• Communicate effectively with team members and internal departments.
• Support the finance team with other accounting tasks as needed.
