Job summary

Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions seeks a Junior Accountant to join an Industrial Machine Distributor near Austell, GA. This full-time, onsite role includes monthly closings, financial reporting, and routine accounting duties in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in accounting or finance with at least two years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP. Excellent numerical accuracy and confidential handling are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software; SAP a plus.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Handle monthly closing, annual reporting, billing, collections, budget preparation, accounts receivable, payable functions, and analyzing etc.
• Receive cash and checks and make deposits
• Oversee routine accounting responsibilities such as inventory management, cost accounting, etc.
• Understand internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash, credit management, and accounting
• Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies
• Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed
• Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels
• Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and other organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
