Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a Junior Accountant in New York to support AP, AR, reconciliations, and GL activities across multiple entities. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience and mentorship from seasoned finance professionals.

You will gain exposure to tenant accounting, reserve deposits, and regulatory compliance related to affordable housing, while contributing to timely month-end close and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience including exposure to AP, AR, reconciliations, or GL functions.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsabilités

• Process and maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll allocations, and bank reconciliations.
• Support general ledger activities and ensure accurate coding of expenses and capital expenditures across multiple entities.
• Record and monitor reserve deposits, withdrawals, and escrow-related transactions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist with tenant accounting, including rent postings, management fee billing, collections tracking, and utility/tax-related transactions.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end closing activities.
