Job summary

Gesa Credit Union in Richland, WA is seeking an Accountant I to join our finance team. Under the direction of Accounting Leadership, you will balance and update general ledger and subsidiary accounts, perform month-end tasks, post journal entries, and support reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–3 years of similar or related experience; banking/credit union preferred.
• Experience with MS Office and data processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Balance and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
• Prepare management and regulatory reports within assigned schedule.
• Post journal entries and verify accuracy of information.
• Manage accounts payable processes including invoicing and vendor payments.
• Assist with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
