Job summary

Arlington Community Federal Credit Union in Falls Church, VA is seeking an Accountant I who will report to the Accounting Manager and perform tasks to balance and update the general ledger and subsidiary accounts. You will maintain financial records, gain working knowledge of all services and operations of the Credit Union, and handle other accounting-related duties.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
• Two to five years of related accounting experience.
• Additional training in information systems, investments, and financial analysis is desired.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to organize information and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Balance and update the general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
• Maintain financial records and stay knowledgeable about all services and operations of the Credit Union.
• Manage other accounting-related duties as assigned.
