Job summary

PHOENIX Retail, LLC in Kentucky is hiring an Accountant I to manage spreadsheet-based processes and apply basic financial accounting concepts for the general ledger. You will perform monthly journal entries and account reconciliations while coordinating with other departments and external partners.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 0–3 years of experience, a solid understanding of GAAP, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic retail

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 0–3 years of accounting experience.
• Working understanding of GAAP.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage data, supporting documentation and spreadsheet-based calculations to support accounting accuracy and completeness.
• Accurately book required journal entries to reflect activities including amortization, depreciation, prepaid and accrued accounts.
• Manage account reconciliation process by analyzing balance sheet balances and explaining variances clearly.
• Collaborate with other departments and third parties as needed.
