Job summary

EXPRESS is seeking an Accountant I in Columbus, OH to manage spreadsheet-based processes and apply accounting concepts for a complete general ledger. You will perform monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, collaborating with other departments and third parties.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent, the ability to work independently and meet deadlines, a working understanding of GAAP, and 0–3 years of accounting experience.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years accounting experience in either public accounting or corporate accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage spreadsheet-based data and calculations to support accounting accuracy.
• Book required journal entries reflecting activities (amortization, depreciation, prepaid and accrued accounts, receivables, returns reserve, supplies, and equity).
• Manage account reconciliation process with clear support for activity and explain variances.
• Collaborate with other departments and third parties as directed by supervisor.
