The Salvation Army is seeking an Accounting Clerk for its DHQ Finance Department. This role handles general journals, audit prep, payroll journals, and account reconciliations, ensuring policy compliance and accurate coding.

You will mentor staff and manage complex data entry tasks across Corps accounts. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in accounting, an accounting degree or certification, and proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Shelby/Vivid software.

Formación

• Two years’ experience in the accounting field.
• Experience with Shelby and Vivid software preferred.
• Associates/Bachelor’s degree or accounting certification preferred.
• Must be computer literate with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to follow English written and oral instructions.
• Strong organizational and data entry skills.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize Accounting Software.
• Audit preparation.
• Journal preparation.
• Processing and data entry of Corps Accounts Receivable in a timely manor.
• Processing and data entry of Corps Accounts Payable in a timely manor.
• Preparing reconciliation spreadsheets and reviewing vouchers.
• Gifts in Kind / Reach review.
• Vendor maintenance and aging of AP/AR items.
• Generate Reports.
