Job summary

Unire Real Estate Group is seeking a Junior Accountant to handle accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, issue checks, and record cash receipts with accuracy and speed.

The role requires experience with MRI or similar systems, proficiency in Excel, and strong organizational and communication skills. Location is in California; duties include rent-related tasks and monthly reporting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable/accounts receivable experience.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• MRI experience, Yardi a plus.
• Excel/PC-based software proficiency.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Input all invoices to accounting system within 1–2 days of receipt.
• Issue checks and mail them out.
• File paid invoices in property-specific vendor folders by week’s end.
• Input tenant charges into MRI at tenant level and reconcile with charges.
• Run monthly rent-ups for each property by the 22nd.
• Provide adjustments to Senior Accountant for MRI input.
• Run tenant rent statements by the 23rd and distribute copies for PM files.
• Record cash receipts for tenants when received and apply to charges.
• Assist in filing all G/L documentation in property-specific folders.
• Assist in monthly report copying and mailing.
• Assist VP, Accounting with special projects and save electronic payment backups.
