Atrium Staffing is seeking a Junior Accountant for a nonprofit organization serving the Princeton community. The role supports day-to-day accounting and reports to the Controller, with a focus on accuracy and timely processing.

The candidate will work with Blackbaud, handle accounts payable, general transactions, and documentation, with emphasis on detail and learning in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

Client Overview:

Our client is a mission-driven, nonprofit organization serving the Princeton community and is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$22/hr - $25/hr

Position Overview:

The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations and assist the Controller with core accounting functions. This role is open due to a resignation, and the team is looking to move quickly.

Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant:

• Support general accounting processes and day-to-day transactions.
• Assist with Accounts Payable activities.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Work within Blackbaud.
• Partner with the Controller and finance leadership as assigned.

Required Experience/Skills for the Junior Accountant:

• Understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Accounts Payable experience.
• Comfortable working in a flexible, fast-moving environment.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Junior Accountant:

• Nonprofit accounting experience.
• Prior experience using Blackbaud.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• Associate’s degree or Business degree will be considered.
