Job summary

Parallel Wireless is seeking a technically driven engineer to own the full lifecycle of mobile network infrastructure, from lab integration to live deployment and optimization.

You will trace signaling failures, investigate KPI-driven performance gaps, and develop tooling in Python/Bash to streamline data collection and reporting. This hands-on role requires independent thinking and rapid growth, with opportunities to work across RAN and core elements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Theoretical LTE/5G RAN and core network knowledge.
• Comfort with Linux command line environment.
• Basic scripting in Python or Bash.
• Ability to read and interpret packet captures.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven approach.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and commission LTE eNodeBs with 3rd party EPC and 5G core elements in lab and live environments.
• Perform end-to-end system integration and interface testing across S1, X2, N1, N2, N3.
• Analyze protocol traces (S1AP, NGAP, X2AP, E2AP, GTP-U, DIAMETER, SCTP) to diagnose issues.
• Monitor and troubleshoot KPIs for accessibility, retainability, mobility, availability, and performance; own root-cause analysis.
• Operate and maintain network performance management systems across multi-vendor environments.
• Support customer-facing lab trials and network acceptance testing with operator teams.
• Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate data collection, processing, and reporting.
• Write and maintain network topology diagrams, test plans, procedures, and post-mortems.
• Contribute to next-gen monitoring, including AI/ML anomaly detection and alerting.
• Stay current on 3GPP specs and evolving 5G standards; read specs thoroughly.
