Job summary

Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a full-time Judicial Specialist 2 (#00000502-23200) to support the Domestic Relations Division, open and docket cases, and prepare court documents.

Under general supervision you will use the case management system, collect filing fees, process orders, manage calendar events and jury materials, serve the public, and ensure accurate record keeping in a busy, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in court case processing or related field such as advanced customer service, data processing, banking/financial experience.
• Knowledge of legal terminology and phrases; basic knowledge of jury service; filing methods; case processing.
• Familiarity with Specialty Court Programs; research methodology; project management techniques; court fee accounting practices.
• Understanding of court monitoring procedures and Codes of Ethics; language access policies.

Responsibilities

• Open, docket, and close cases using the case management system based on judgement details.
• Provide public information to parties and attorneys while avoiding legal advice.
• Process filings for format, signatures, events, and fees; manage cash handling and deposits.
• Prepare notices, orders, and other court documents for mailing and filing.
• Coordinate jury management tasks including jury summons, voir dire, and scheduling.
• Support other magistrate or district courts within the judicial district as needed.
