Job summary

Quality Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Talented Field/Processing Worker to support the Phytogen Seed Company research program in a dynamic manufacturing setting in the USA. Responsibilities include field and processing tasks, equipment operation, sample handling, and general site operations.

The role is seasonal and may involve indoor and outdoor work across multiple sites. You will work with shifts including weekends and holidays and report under supervision to ensure timely progress across

• Must obtain/expedite driver license as required. (This is a requirement for employment)
• 1st & 2nd shift.
• Availability to work all shifts, weekends and Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks in the Phytogen Seed Company research program.
• Perform tasks as described for the Field and Processing Worker role.
• Assist with repair and maintenance of field equipment under supervision.
• Operate mobile field equipment (tractor, cotton picker) and stationary equipment (module builder).
• Sample processing operations including preparation of supplies, sorting, ginning, weighing, and packaging seeds.
• General facility operations including cleaning and organization of samples and supplies.
• Tasks may be indoor/outdoor and seasonal depending on the research program.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of routine tasks associated with the Phytogen Seed Company research program.
• The tasks will include any or all of those described for the Field and Processing Worker.
• In addition, the Technician's Assistant will perform additional tasks as required by the supervising Field Technician.
• These tasks may include, under close supervision of the Field Supervisor: assisting with the repair and maintenance of field equipment, limited operation of field equipment, organization of samples during harvest and/or processing, and limited driving of a company vehicle.
• The type of task will be dependent on the stage of the annual research program and will be seasonal in nature.
• Tasks may be performed in an indoor and/or outdoor setting.
• Responsible for performing a wide range of tasks or a specific task depending on the stage of the seasonal research program.
• Tasks may include: Field research operations related to planting, thinning, weeding, pollinations and sample harvest.
• Sample processing operations including preparation of supplies, sorting, ginning, weighing, preparation for shipping and seed packaging.
• General facility operations including general clean-up, organization of samples and supplies, and other routine tasks as they arise.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by the supervising Field Technician.
• Operation of mobile field equipment, such as a tractor or cotton picker, and stationary field equipment, such as a module builder.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy or related fields.
• Standardize qualitative data (e.g., scales, categories)
• Leadership and Organizational Skills
• The contingent worker will be responsible of the process to expedite the needed driver license when asked. (This is a requirement for employment)
• 1st & 2nd shift.
• Availability to work all shifts, weekends and Holidays.
