Job summary

Quality Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer - Sterilization to lead analysis, design, and support for sterilization infrastructure at our Puerto Rico/USA facilities.

The role focuses on owner’s-representative engineering for HVAC, utilities, and building automation in a clean medical device manufacturing environment. Onsite with travel 5-10%, first shift, with strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 4+ years of facility mechanical and electrical infrastructure and building automation experience.
• Experience supporting design/build of clean rooms.
• Experience supporting chiller plants.
• Experience supporting compressed air plants.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics.
• Experience with integrated building solutions including temperature control and power management.
• Tridium/Niagara or Siemens BAS experience.
• Facility commissioning experience.
• Shift: 1st shift; onsite preferred, remote possible.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and support facility engineering related to sterilization projects.
• Serve as owner's representative engineer on HVAC, exhaust, chillers, boilers, and dry compressed air.
• Plan, design, and oversee reconfiguration and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Gather and review data on specifications, restrictions, dates, and feasibility.
• Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms on design criteria and drawings.
• Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Review design costs and oversee construction/installation progress.
• Inspect progress and commissioning to ensure conformance to drawings and schedules.
• Travel to other sites 5-10% depending on project needs.

Responsibilities:

• The Senior Facilities Engineer - Sterilization will be responsible for analysis, design, and support of all facility engineering related to the multi-year sterilization infrastructure projects at the facility.
• Serve as the owner's-representative engineer on a broad array of projects at a clean medical device manufacturing facility, including HVAC, Exhaust, Chillers, Boilers and Dry compressed air.
• Other facility engineering infrastructure
• Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
• Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
• Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
• Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
• Inspects or directs the inspection of construction, installation progress, and commissioning to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Travels to other sites 5-10% depending on project needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 4+ years of Facility Mechanical Infrastructure, Electrical Infrastructure, and Building Automation Systems experience
• Mechanical system knowledge, including:
  • HVAC
  • Electrical
  • Building automation
  • Plumbing systems
• Experience supporting design/build of clean rooms.
• Experience supporting chiller plants.
• Experience supporting compressed air plants.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics.
• Experience with integrated building solutions including:
  • Temperature control
  • Critical environment monitoring
  • Power management and alarming
  • Zoned lighting control
  • Facility access control
• Tridium/Niagara or Siemens BAS experience.
• Facility commissioning experience.
• Shift: 1st shift
• Virtual/Remote possible, but onsite preferred
