Job summary

QUALITY CONSULTING GROUP, LLC is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer – Sterilization to lead analysis, design, and support for the facility's sterilization infrastructure projects. You will serve as the owner's-representative for HVAC, chillers, and related systems at a medical device manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities include planning, design and oversight of reconfiguration and maintenance of facilities, cost estimation, and ensuring conformance to drawings and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 4+ years of facility mechanical infrastructure, electrical infrastructure and building automation systems experience.
• Design/build experience for clean rooms.
• Experience with chiller plants and compressed air systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings and schematics.
• Experience with integrated building solutions including temperature control, critical environment monitoring, power management and alarming, zoned lighting control, and facility access control.
• Tridium/Niagara or Siemens BAS experience.
• Facility commissioning experience.
• Shift: 1st shift; virtual/remote possible, onsite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms on design criteria and drawings.
• Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Review and estimate design costs including equipment, installation, labor and materials.
• Inspect construction progress and commissioning for conformance to drawings and schedules.
• Travel to other sites 5–10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• The Senior Facilities Engineer – Sterilization will be responsible for analysis, design, and support of all facility engineering related to the multi-year sterilization infrastructure projects at the facility.
• Serve as the owner’s-representative engineer on a broad array of projects at a clean medical device manufacturing facility, including HVAC, Exhaust, Chillers, Boilers and Dry compressed air.
• Other facility engineering infrastructure
• Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
• Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
• Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
• Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
• Inspects or directs the inspection of construction, installation progress, and commissioning to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Travels to other sites 5–10% depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4+ years of Facility Mechanical Infrastructure, Electrical Infrastructure, and Building Automation Systems experience
• Mechanical system knowledge, including:
  • HVAC
  • Electrical
  • Building automation
  • Plumbing systems
• Experience supporting design/build of clean rooms.
• Experience supporting chiller plants.
• Experience supporting compressed air plants.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics.
