Job summary

Quality Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer – Sterilization to lead analysis, design, and support for multi-year sterilization infrastructure projects at the Puerto Rico facility and client sites in the USA.

You will serve as the owner's representative on HVAC, exhaust, chillers, boilers, and dry compressed air, coordinating with architecture/engineering teams and preparing cost estimates and schedules to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4+ years in facility mechanical/electrical infra.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, building automation, and plumbing systems.
• Experience with design/build of clean rooms and chiller plants.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics.
• Experience with integrated building solutions including temperature control and power management.
• Facility commissioning experience and owner’s-representative role.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and support facility engineering for sterilization projects.
• Serve as owner’s representative engineer on HVAC, exhaust, boilers, and dry compressed air.
• Plan, design, oversee reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of facilities.
• Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Inspect construction, installation progress, and commissioning per drawings and specs.
• Travel to other sites 5–10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• The Senior Facilities Engineer – Sterilization will be responsible for analysis, design, and support of all facility engineering related to the multi-year sterilization infrastructure projects at the facility.
• Serve as the owner’s-representative engineer on a broad array of projects at a clean medical device manufacturing facility, including HVAC, Exhaust, Chillers, Boilers and Dry compressed air.
• Other facility engineering infrastructure
• Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
• Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
• Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
• Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
• Inspects or directs the inspection of construction, installation progress, and commissioning to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Travels to other sites 5–10% depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4+ years of Facility Mechanical Infrastructure, Electrical Infrastructure, and Building Automation Systems experience
• Mechanical system knowledge, including:
  • HVAC
  • Electrical
  • Building automation
  • Plumbing systems
• Experience supporting design/build of clean rooms.
• Experience supporting chiller plants.
• Experience supporting compressed air plants.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics.
• Experience with integrated building solutions including:
  • Temperature control
  • Critical environment monitoring
  • Power management and alarming
  • Zoned lighting control
  • Facility access control
• Tridium/Niagara or Siemens BAS experience.
• Facility commissioning experience.
• Shift: 1st shift
• Virtual/Remote possible, but onsite preferred
