Job summary

The candidate will collaborate with counselors, teachers, and district staff, while maintaining safe, engaging learning environments and upholding district policies and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• Minimum of 20 years of active military service.
• Retired Air Force, Army, Navy, or Marine Corps Officer.
• Must meet JROTC instructor criteria as per governing agency.
• Proven ability to apply current research and theory to instructional programs.
• Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives including student needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement an instructional program and assess student achievement.
• Manage student behavior and classroom environment.
• Use a variety of instructional materials and technology to enhance learning.
• Develop JROTC yearly budget and order equipment and supplies.
• Maintain accurate budget accountability reports and asset inventory.
• Coordinate with district administration, counselors, and librarians.
• Collaborate with staff and participate in district professional development.
• Maintain records of student progress and develop safe, inclusive learning environments.
