Job summary

Adrian Public Schools’ Adrian High School seeks a JROTC instructor for the 2026-27 school year. You will develop and deliver the JROTC curriculum, teaching leadership, citizenship, military history, fitness, and character development to students.

The instructor reports to the principal and assistant principal; requires a Bachelor's degree and Michigan teaching certification; must maintain records and supervise cadets during drills and events, while coordinating with staff and parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Michigan teaching certificate required.
• Secondary-level teaching certificate with vocational authorization or eligible for annual career authorization up to 10 years.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver JROTC curriculum aligned with program guidelines.
• Teach leadership, citizenship, military history, physical fitness, and character development.
• Lead cadets in drills, ceremonies, and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain student records, grades, and attendance.
• Plan and oversee JROTC events, field trips, and community service projects.
• Ensure adherence to policies and manage equipment and inventories.
