Job summary

Rycon Construction seeks an experienced assistant project manager for our Washington DC office. This role is based out of the Richmond, VA area and requires coordinating retail commercial construction projects valued at $5 million and up.

You will write subcontracts, negotiate awards, and maintain project schedules using MS Project. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of multi-project oversight, strong communication, blueprints literacy, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience managing multiple retail commercial construction projects valued at $5 million and up.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must direct complex projects from concept to fully operational status.
• Proficient with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• College degree preferred, but not required.

• Read documents and contracts.

• Review/subcontractors scope of work.
• Develop and maintain schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Attend meetings and prepare minutes.
• Review/prepare change orders.
