Job summary

RyconConstruction, an ESOP employee-owned firm, is seeking an experienced Safety Manager for our Dallas office. This position is fully onsite and based out of Mobeetie, with regular travel to support multiple project sites in the Dallas region.

You will partner with leadership to foster a proactive safety culture, conduct site inspections and audits, lead investigations, develop safety plans, deliver trainings, and ensure OSHA compliance across projects including data center and mission-critical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, EHS, CM, or related field.
• 10+ years construction safety experience, preferably in commercial projects.
• Experience with Data Center and Mission Critical construction; OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Conduct jobsite safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Lead accident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project safety plans and site logistics.
• Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks; ongoing safety training for employees and subcontractors.
• Monitor subcontractor safety compliance and maintain documentation.

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager in our Dallas office.

Please note this position will be fully onsite and based out of Mobeetie.

What you will do:

• Partner with operational and executive leadership to strengthen and promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
• Lead accident and incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety plans, site logistics plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, training programs, and ongoing safety education for employees and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with Operations, Estimating, and Preconstruction teams on project safety planning, site-specific risks, and constructability review.
• Participate in project meetings and provide safety leadership throughout all phases of construction.
• Monitor and enforce subcontractor compliance with company safety requirements, site-specific safety plans, and OSHA standards.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, audits, training records, and regulatory compliance records.
• Develop and implement new safety initiatives, programs, and best practices to continuously improve overall safety performance.
• Track safety metrics, analyze trends, and provide recommendations to leadership for improvement opportunities.
• Serve as the primary safety resource and advisor for project teams throughout the Dallas region.
• Support multiple project sites through regular local travel and field presence.

What you will need to be successful:

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of construction safety experience, preferably within commercial construction environments.
• Direct experience supporting Data Center and Mission Critical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, construction safety practices, and risk management principles.
• Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and engage employees, subcontractors, and leadership in maintaining a strong safety culture.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to conduct presentations and safety training.
• Ability to manage multiple project sites and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software platforms.
