Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer operations background and knowledge of data centers
• Understanding of data centers and data communications
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent
• Experience with Salt or Ansible orchestration
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and customer service skills
• Experience with Jira concepts and SDLC framework
• Shell (Bourne), Perl, or Python scripting
• Experience with open-source metric analytics & visualization tools (Grafana, Splunk, Humio) and open-source automation tools (Chef, Ruby, GitHub, Salt, Artifactory)

************ LOCAL CANDIDATES REQUIRED *************

Location: Totowa, NJ /Orangeburg, NY/ Dayton, NJ( Candidates should be flexible to work at either of these locations depending on the client's need on all shifts depending on the business need)

Duration: 12 Months contract

W2- Need candidates authorized to work for any employer, cannot sponsor

You’ll need to have:

Flexibility on work location and the ability to work out of Middlesex county, NJ or Orangeburg, NY or Totowa, NJ on all shifts depending on the business need

Availability to work varying coverage hours including weekends and nights

We’d love to see:

2+ years of: computer operations background, understanding of data centers, and data communications and experience working with Unix/Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu, etc.)

A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience

Experience working with Salt or Ansible for orchestration (preferably Salt)

Excellent written and verbal communications interpersonal and customer service skills

Working knowledge of: Jira concepts and SDLC framework Experience providing and automating day to day systems administration duties; Shell (Bourne), Perl, or Python scripting abilities Experience with open-source metric analytics & visualization tools (such as Grafana, Splunk, and Humio) and multiple open-source automation and management tool-set knowledge (includes: Chef, Ruby, GitHub, Salt, Artifactory, etc., to name a few)
