Job summary

Phlow is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support cross-functional API research, development, and manufacturing initiatives. You will help plan, coordinate, and execute projects, maintaining plans and schedules while tracking milestones and deliverables to keep work on track.

You will work with project managers and technical teams, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalating as needed to ensure timely updates and continuous improvement of processes.

The Junior Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of cross-functional projects supporting Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) research, development, and manufacturing. This role works closely with Project Managers, technical teams, and functional leaders to keep projects organized, on schedule, and aligned with established scope, milestones, and deliverables.

The Junior Project Manager is responsible for maintaining project plans, coordinating meetings and action items, tracking schedules and deliverables, and providing timely project updates. This role helps identify risks, issues, and dependencies and ensures they are appropriately documented and escalated.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple functions in a fast-paced, technically complex environment. This role provides an opportunity to develop project management expertise while contributing directly to the successful execution of Phlow's research, development, manufacturing, and U.S. Government-supported initiatives.

Position Summary:

• Support Project Managers in the planning and execution of cross-functional projects supporting API research, development, and manufacturing initiatives


• Maintain project plans, schedules, timelines, action-item logs, and other project management tools to ensure accurate and current project information


• Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, documenting decisions and action items, and following up on commitments


• Track project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and key activities and proactively communicate potential schedule delays or issues


• Work with cross-functional teams to gather project updates and maintain accurate status information across technical, operational, quality, regulatory, and other functional areas


• Assist with the development of project scopes, work plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables


• Support Project Managers with U.S. Government contract activities, including tracking contractual milestones, deliverables, reporting requirements, and other commitments


• Prepare project status reports, dashboards, presentations, and other project communications for internal stakeholders and leadership


• Maintain project documentation and ensure project records are organized, accurate, and readily accessible


• Assist in identifying project risks, issues, and dependencies and elevate concerns to the appropriate Project Manager or functional leader


• Track project resources, expenditures, and other project-related financial information as directed by the Project Manager


• Support project change management by documenting changes to scope, schedule, deliverables, and responsibilities


• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support timely completion of project activities and deliverables


• Help establish and maintain standardized project management processes, templates, and tools


• Monitor follow-up items and help ensure commitments are completed on time


• Support continuous improvement of project management processes and practices


• Develop knowledge of Phlow's technical, manufacturing, contractual, and operational activities to effectively support project execution


• Other duties as assigned

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000, with the final offer determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and education. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is eligible to participate in Phlow's bonus and stock option programs. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, Science, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience


• 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, operations, manufacturing, R&D, or a related field


• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail


• Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment


• Experience coordinating across cross-functional teams and following up on action items and commitments


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams


• Ability to identify and elevate project risks, issues, and delays


• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical manufacturing, or a technical environment preferred
