Job summary

Tailwind Applied Sciences is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems. You will perform mechanical calculations, prepare technical documentation, and assist in equipment sizing under the supervision of senior engineers.

The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and adherence to ASME and ISO standards. You will use AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools to create drawings and construction documents, helping to ensure designs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical system design and engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Understanding of mechanical calculations and equipment sizing/selection.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards and specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing mechanical systems and components using AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software.
  • Perform mechanical calculations including load, stress, thermal, and fluid analyses.
  • Develop and review engineering specifications and technical documentation.
  • Prepare drawings, layouts, and construction documents.
  • Participate in system design coordination using BIM tools such as Revit.
  • Assist in evaluating system performance and troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, civil, manufacturing).
  • Ensure designs meet codes, standards, and safety regulations (ASME, ISO).
  • Support project planning, schedules, and progress reporting.
