Job summary

Teoresi Inc in Detroit is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer – Automotive to design and develop automotive components from concept through production, collaborating with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on CATIA V5 modeling, 3D and 2D drawings, GD&T, and adherence to automotive standards; a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Automotive engineering and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred, with Siemens NX experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering
• 1–2 years of automotive design engineering experience preferred
• CATIA V5 experience required
• Siemens NX experience is a plus

Responsibilities

We are looking for a:

Mechanical Design Engineer – Automotive

to support the design and development of automotive components, working closely with customers and cross-functional engineering teams from concept through production.

Key responsibilities:

• Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5
• Support design changes, engineering reviews, RFQs, and customer requirements
• Support prototypes, testing, validation, and production launches
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers
• Ensure designs meet GD&T, customer, and automotive standards

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with CATIA V5 – required
• Experience with 3D modeling and 2D production drawings
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings
• Familiarity with automotive product development
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Profile Completes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering
• 1/2 years of automotive design engineering experience preferred
• Siemens NX experience is a plus
• Ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams
