WebFX is seeking an entry-level IT Support candidate to join our in-office team in Harrisburg, PA. A Bachelor’s Degree is required or soon-to-be; GPA of 3.4+ preferred. We welcome upcoming graduates and offer training on all necessary skills.

The role focuses on helping internal teams with tech issues, configuring workstations, and supporting LAN/WiFi. Strong communication and customer service are valued, with clear growth paths and extensive on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Respond to support tickets from team members when they run into technology issues
• Help solve problems with computer systems, software, hardware, and other workplace technology
• Educate team members on technology, and walk with them through the problem-solving process
• Run diagnostic programs to identify and resolve problems
• Respond promptly to team member questions either in-person or over email, as the situation requires
• Resolve technical problems with LAN, WiFi, and other systems
• Install and configure new Windows and Mac workstations for incoming team members
• Create and configure new company accounts for team members
• Research and introduce solutions to emerging technology challenges that may arise
• Document new company processes in clear, easy-to-follow language that team members of all technical backgrounds can understand

About the Role

WebFX is seeking an entry-level candidate for our IT Support team! Our ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree (or will soon have one!), a track-record of strong academics, and is excited about all things technology and tech support. Related experience is awesome to have, but never required - we'll train you on everything you need to know.

The Qualifications: Who You Are

Education:

• A Bachelor's Degree: All majors welcome!

• GPA: 3.4 or above

(Upcoming grads are encouraged to apply - we interview and hire up to a year in advance!)

Suggested Experience and Skills:

• Prior experience working, in any field (for example: a part-time job, summer job, internship, etc)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Customer service experience (in any industry)

• Ability to translate technical information into simple terms

• Experience in tech support or IT Help Desk-related work (a bonus!)

Tools/Technical Skills:

(Not required, but awesome to have!)

• Excel/Google Suite

• Solid understanding of both Windows and Mac OS

• Solid understanding of the latest business office technologies

• Familiarity with using AI tools

The Job Responsibilities: What You'll Learn to Do

Perform Help-Desk Support for Our Internal Team

(About 60% of your day)

• Respond to support tickets from team members when they run into technology issues

• Help solve problems with computer systems, software, hardware, and other workplace technology

• Educate team members on technology, and walk with them through the problem-solving process

• Run diagnostic programs to identify and resolve problems

• Respond promptly to team member questions either in-person or over email, as the situation requires

• Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), WiFi, and other systems

Create and Manage Team Member Accounts and Workstations

(About 30% of your day)

• Install and configure new Windows and Mac workstations for incoming team members

• Create and configure new company accounts for team members

Support Technical Process Improvements Across Our Team

(About 10% of your day)

• Research and introduce solutions to emerging technology challenges that may arise

• Document new company processes in clear, easy-to-follow language that team members of all technical backgrounds can understand
