Job summary

WebFX is seeking an entry-level IT Support Specialist to provide front-line technical support for computer systems, software, and hardware from our Harrisburg office.

You’ll respond to questions, educate team members, install and repair hardware/software, and help manage user accounts. The role offers hands-on training and growth opportunities within a fast-growing digital marketing agency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Information Science, Information Technology, MIS or related fields preferred.
GPA above 3.4.
Entry-level role; training provided for necessary skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for computer systems, software, and hardware.
Respond promptly to queries in-person and via email.
Educate team members on technology and problem-solving steps.
Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
Run diagnostics to identify and resolve problems.
Maintain performance of computer systems.
Support LAN and WiFi networks and other systems.
Install and configure Windows and Mac workstations.
Create new accounts for new team members.

In This Role, You’ll Get To…

Provide technical support for incoming queries related to computer systems, software, and hardware
Respond promptly to queries either in‑person and via email
Educate team members on technology and walk them through the problem‑solving process
Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
Run diagnostic programs to identify and resolve problems
Maintain the performance of computer systems
Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wireless Networks (WiFi), and other systems
Install and configure new Windows and Mac workstations
Create new accounts for incoming team‑members
Support online software configuration and answer team member questions
Document new processes and effectively communicate them to team‑members

10% researching, implementing, and documenting team‑wide process improvements
30% creating and managing team‑member accounts
60% performing Help Desk support, troubleshooting technical issues, and working with team members to find solutions
